  • Considering your first medications?
  • Needing to find local services and medical care in your area?
  • Wanting to talk with a “real person” about your medication side effects or blood work?
  • Living with HIV and feeling confused about your situation?

About the InfoLine
Since 1985 Project Inform has been answering the phone—talking to tens of thousands of people living with HIV and those who care about them. We talk with people across the US about their health and how to live well with HIV/AIDS.

Our toll-free HIV Health InfoLine is staffed by dedicated volunteer operators and staff. Many involved with the program also live with or are impacted by HIV, providing valuable insight and support to our callers. All operators complete extensive and ongoing training to answer your questions about HIV care and treatment issues with the most up-to-date information.

We believe that linking to local medical and social support services is vitally important. So we can also help you find out about existing services and care available in your local community.

Since 1996, free, confidential emotional support is available every night 5pm–5am from the AIDS/HIV Nightline at 1-800-628-9240 or in San Francisco at 415-434-2437.
