About the Hotline Our toll-free National HIV/AIDS Treatment Hotline is staffed by dedicated volunteer operators and staff. Many involved with the program also live with or are impacted by HIV, providing valuable insight and support to our callers. All operators complete extensive and ongoing training to answer your questions about HIV care and treatment issues with the most up-to-date information. We believe that linking to local medical and social support services is vitally important. So we can also help you find out about existing services and care available in your local community. Since 1996, free, confidential emotional support is available every night 5pm–5am from the AIDS/HIV Nightline at 1-800-628-9240 or in San Francisco at 415-434-2437. |
