As 2012 comes to a close, consider a year-end gift to Project Inform!

It’s hard to believe 2012 will come to a close in just a few weeks! We at Project Inform would like to thank you for your generous support and hope you’ll consider an end of year gift to Project Inform to usher in the first generation of HIV and hepatitis C free people. We are extremely proud of the important gains Project Inform’s vigorous advocacy helped bring about in 2012 – advances that our well-respected programs will help to cement with your active support:

• Implementation of the first National HIV/AIDS Strategy, with its relentless focus on assuring that everyone knows his or her HIV status and is linked to medical care and treatment as quickly as possible if HIV-positive;

• Increased funding from the National Institutes of Health to support very promising research to identify an actual cure for HIV and AIDS.

• Implementation of bold new approaches to HIV prevention – particularly Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP – a strategy in which people at high risk for infection take anti-HIV medications to support them to remain HIV-negative;

• Implementation of the first national plan for addressing viral hepatitis, with a central focus on assuring that all baby-boomers and people living with HIV are tested for this increasingly curable condition;

• Education and counseling of tens of thousands of people newly diagnosed with HIV and hepatitis C to support them to make decisions about medical care and early treatment;• All-important implementation of national health care reform, with a focus on how the pending expansion of health care coverage to tens of millions of Americans will assure the goal of ending HIV and hepatitis C;

Project Inform is providing strong leadership and having deep impact given its small size. We do so by focusing squarely on initiatives that will have the greatest impact on the largest number of people. Your support for our work therefore constitutes a meaningful and sound investment in realizing the dream of creating the first HIV and hepatitis C free generations. The United States now has the tools to do so! Project Inform will be advocating to assure that we aggressively put them to successful use!

Thank you for standing with us by making an important year-end contribution!!

FORWARD,
