2009 Evening of Hope
Event Recap | Alec Mapa | Designers | Sponsors | Photos
We aren’t exaggerating when we say that our guests were positively giddy when they left Evening of Hope: A Night of Lifesaving Fashion which took place on Wednesday, October 14th at the glamorous Four Seasons Hotel. Where else in San Francisco or maybe anywhere else in the world would one find stunning models walking the runway in condom couture, television stars as Master of Ceremonies Alec Mapa of Ugly Betty, 350+ glittering guests, knock-your-socks off silent auction items, beyond belief live auction items, scrumptious food, incredible gift bags and one of the cities hottest after-parties which featured hand rolled cigars and port as VIP’s mingled on the balcony? Project Inform’s Condom Couture Fashion Show brought together supporters and fashion enthusiasts in celebration of Project Inform’s mission to provide information, advocacy and inspiration for people living with HIV/AIDS. Although the Condom Couture Fashion Show is whimsical, sassy and quite glamorous, it is deemed an event with a message. “There is still one very inexpensive and simple tool for preventing HIV infection – the condom,” states Project Inform’s Executive Director, Dana Van Gorder. We want to thank all are donors, sponsors, guests and volunteers who helped make this event a huge success and raise over $225,000 to help us continue the important work we do in the community. Please keep a look out for our winter issue of In Focus newsletter which will feature incredible photos from the event and a full listing of event donors and sponsors. |
