Project Inform Announces
New Email Advocacy Newsletter

November 18, 2004

San Francisco, CA—Advocates looking for a new way to stay informed and get involved can now subscribe to the Project Inform Advocacy Update, a monthly electronic newsletter sent to members of Project Inform's grassroots network, the Treatment Action Network (TAN).

This newsletter was created to spread awareness, create action and share up-to-date information on key issues in health care and treatment/research advocacy. Short updates provide links to more in-depth background materials and include tips on how people can communicate with their elected officials on the issues they care about.

A calendar section provides important dates related to advocacy efforts and a link to Project Inform's calendar of events throughout the country. Other regular features include a web site of the month, a spotlight on "people in advocacy" and an inspirational quote.

According to Anne Donnelly, Project Inform Director of Public Policy, "In the next year, there will be significant challenges to ensure that people with HIV/AIDS have access to the care and treatment they depend on. Now more than ever, it's vital that everyone is aware of issues that affect their health and their lives and commits to involvement in the process. The Project Inform Advocacy Update will provide opportunities for people to stay educated and take action."

To sign up for the Project Inform Advocacy Update and TAN, go to www.projectinform.org/org/tanform.html, or email tan@projectinform.org.
