XIV International AIDS Conference: Barcelona, Spain

San Francisco—In early July, more than 10,000 scientists, activists, policymakers and people living with HIV will meet in Barcelona, Spain, to report on new breakthroughs, new insights, and new understandings in the global fight against AIDS at the XIV International AIDS Conference (July 7–12).

Special daily coverage from the XIV International AIDS Conference provided by kaisernetwork.org, a free service of the Kaiser Family Foundation, will be available to view at:

Coverage will include:

  • Session Webcasts. Complete coverage of plenary sessions, satellite meetings, press conferences, and other sessions, will be available in both video and written transcript formats.
  • Highlights of the Day's Events. Edited highlights of the day's conference sessions and events will be available in video, audio, and written transcript formats.
  • Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report. Special reporting from the XIV International AIDS Conference will be featured in the Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report, a key news summary service that provides news developments on HIV/AIDS along with links to the full text of the stories from various news sources.
  • From the Frontlines. Perspectives from those who are fighting or covering AIDS (i.e., newsmakers, patients, health care workers, researchers, journalists) through "in their own words" segments, will be available in video, audio, and written transcript formats.
  • Additional Resources. Supplemental resources will include links to key organizations' websites and international news sites, statistical information on global AIDS, and a calendar of events.

Most of the webcasts will be available in video and audio (Real Player and Windows Media Player). Transcripts will also be provided. All you need is internet access, speakers, and Real Player or Windows Media Player (both can be downloaded for free).
