Honoring our volunteers
Maryanna
Haskins
Strong, independent and down to earth, Maryanna Haskins came to
Project Inform in 1991 wanting to make a difference, having already
lost many friends to AIDS. Her steady presence and practical approach
to any task have made her an invaluable resource on our Hotline
and around our office for many years. She has given her time and
resources, volunteering nights, weekends, and any other time Project
Inform has needed her help. Maryanna is the very embodiment and
selfless spirit of volunteerism, and we are enormously grateful
to know her.
Maryanna states, "San Francisco changed quickly in the early
days of the epidemic, sometimes on a monthly or even daily basis.
It was important for me to help wherever there was a need. As Project
Inform has expanded its programs, I am continually impressed with
the people in this organization, and the quality of information
and presentations that are produced."
In 2002, Project Inform recognized Maryanna Haskins’ outstanding
volunteerism with our annual Bill Bradley Award for Exemplary Volunteer
Service. She continues to volunteer for other programs dear to her
heart.
Thank you, Maryanna, for your dedication to Project Inform and
its mission.
