Whether you’re HIV-positive or HIV-negative, we’re all affected by HIV. HIV stigma can discourage people from getting tested for HIV, just as it can make others fear disclosing their status to friends and loved ones.
Positively Aware, the HIV magazine published by Test Positive Aware Network in Chicago, is promoting its yearly “A Day With HIV”. The campaign is asking HIV-positive and HIV-negative individuals to “seize the day” (Saturday, September 21) and “take your best shot against HIV and stigma”.
Simply use your smartphone or digital camera to take a snapshot to capture a moment of your day, and then send it along with a caption to photo@adaywithhiv.com. Select photos will appear in a special section of the November+December issue of Positively Aware. All submitted photos will be posted on the A Day with HIV website in November.
