The Swiss drug giant, Roche, recently announced it will no longer develop new HIV treatments, claiming its decision comes from disappointing expectations over new drug development that doesn't show substantial improvement over existing drugs.  READ MORE Read more.

FDA adds “Black Box”
warning for Cipro.

A special "black box" warning for a group of antibiotics has been issued by the FDA, which covers drugs used to treat MAC and TB in people living with HIV.  READ MORE Read more.

 

HIV testing:
Taking the next step in California.

Project Inform, along with several California entities, recently discussed the issues faced by implementing AB 682, the new HIV testing law enacted this year, which removed the need to get written consent for an HIV test in private medical settings.  READ MORE Read more.

of ADAP waiting lists.

AIDS Drug Assistance Program waiting lists have returned and states are reporting reduction in primary care and support services. Without significant increased funding, the situation will get worse.  READ MORE Read more.
