Medicare and Part D

Project Inform Joins the Access to Critical Medications Coalition

July 23, 2007

Project Inform has joined the Access to Critical Medications Coalition, a group of diverse national organizations representing people with HIV, mental health conditions, cancer and other chronic diseases. The Coalition seeks to codify or make into law the protections for six classes of drugs that are currently regulated under Medicare Part D. The protections ensure that all Medicare Part D plans must provide all or substantially all of six classes of drugs, including anti-retrovirals. There have been bills introduced in Congress to make that protect law. Following are the letters of support for these bills.

Letter to Congress: House Committee on Energy and Commerce

Letter to Congress: House Committee on Ways and Means
