Frequently asked questions

How long has Project Inform been fighting the AIDS epidemic?

Since 1985. At the start of the epidemic, several community members joined together to start a short-term "project" at a time when reliable information about HIV/AIDS and its treatment was nearly impossible to obtain. For more than 20 years, Project Inform has worked to accelerate and facilitate advances in treatment and access to health care for people living with HIV.

What are Project Inform's core programs?

Project Inform is committed to advancing treatment options and health care access to those living with HIV disease. To this end, we advocate heavily on a variety of treatment and health care access issues with government, academia, the community, independent entities and industry to affect positive change for people living with HIV disease. We have provided leadership in numerous areas, including but not limited to legislation such as Ryan White CARE, Medicare/Medicaid and ADAP as well as affecting the national AIDS research agenda and helping to bring more than 30 HIV drugs to consumers.

How can I help Project Inform?

There are three ways you can help support Project Inform. First, you can become a volunteer. Project Inform has a variety of volunteer needs to help support our programming and special events. Second, becoming a donor, you can directly support our services around the country. Third, you can also join our grassroots advocacy networks, PI Action and , and know that your personal phone calls and letters influence the legislators who develop public health services in the US.
